Monkey Doodlez Reusable Swim Diaper {review & giveaway}
I love reusable swim diapers! No stopping at the store on your way to the pool or lake and no more embarrassing “accidents”
at the pool that can happen with the disposable swimmers. When we heard that our favourite brand of swim diapers were now available in a snap version, I was excited!
We’ve always used the Monkey Doodlez swim diapers, the pull up ones. We have used them from newborn (size small) right up to size large (for two year old mr. bean). While mr. bean was an infant, I only used the swim diaper, never a bathing suit over top. The swimmers are designed to look like little baggy speedo’s and they have a cute appliqué on the bum. They are available in a few different colours and appliqués, suitable for both girls and boys. With the adorable puffy blowfish on the bum of one of them, we received so many compliments! With a cute reusable swim diaper, we always get lots of compliments.
With the new (as of this summer) snap version, you get all the cuteness and functionality of the pull up Monkey Doodlez swimmers, but with even more practicality. If your little one does happen to have an accident in the pool, just snap off the swimmer and no mess! For us, mr. bean hates having his wet bathing suit taken off. And honestly, who enjoys taking off a wet bathing suit? With the new snap reusable swimmers, they are so easy to take off! No fussing, no complaining – unsnap, unsnap, unsnap and they are off. I also like that there are waist snaps and hip snaps. For little ones with skinny or chubby legs, you can adjust the fit better.
Washing the Monkey Doodlez swim diapers is super easy too. Just throw it in the wash with your other bathing suits and hang this washable swim diaper to dry. If you’re staying at a hotel, a quick wash in the bathroom sink is all you need to do. Doesn’t get much easier than that.
Want to pick up a Monkey Doodlez swimmer for your little one? Check out the selection of pull up and snap swimmers at one of our favourite cloth diaper stores, Little Monkey Store in Langley, BC. They offer free shipping on all infant swimmers and if you live locally, you can pick one up too which is great if you’re on the way to the pool that afternoon.

Costume Supercenter {review}
What kid does not love Curious George? At our house, Curious George is the book to read every night before bed. So much so,
that we now own three different Curious George hardcover story collections – because let’s face it, moms and dads can only read the same story so many times.
With mr. bean turning two a few months back, he is now starting to get into dress up. Anything he can put on and run around in is a lot of fun. With this in mind, I am always on the lookout for different dress up items I can pick up here and there for him. For those of us in Canada, I always think of Mr. Dress Up’s tickle trunk. Given his love of Curious George, picking a Curious George costume was super easy.
When we received it, both of us were pretty happy! I find a lot of the kids costumes are not very user friendly and tend not to last after a few wears. But this one was made so well and has held up quite well too. I do have to help mr. bean a bit to get the costume on. But once it’s on, he’s raring around having fun!
If you’re looking to fill your dress up trunk or looking ahead for a Halloween costume, I recommend checking out the Costume Supercenter. They have a huge selection, ship quickly and the quality of their costumes are great. I am going to have a hard time picking out a cute costume for Halloween this year, there are so many costumes for toddlers to choose from!
